Felix Finkbeiner started when he was young planting trees to help with climate change. He was just baffled at the fact that adults were not doing anything about this problem so he went to speak in front of the United Nations at the age of 9. He ended up founding Plant-for-the-Planet later partnering with the UN's Billion Tree Campaign. They have already planted 14 billion trees and there goal is to plant 1 trillion tree, that is 150 trees per person on Earth.
Jadav Payeng is from Northeast India's Majuli Island, the world's largest river island. It is threatened by massive erosion from climate change. Since 1917 the island has lost almost half of its land mass already from erosion. Jadav has decided to become a modern day Johnny Appleseed. He has planted a forests that is larger than Central Park. Currently there are elephants, rhinos, and other exotic animals that live there.
