Deforestation devastates is not only a problem but a factor to other global issues as well. One of those issue being dried and nutrition loss of soils. When there are no roots in the soil to provide nutrition to the dirt it starts to harden and dry up making it impossible for other plants to grow. This will eventually lead to flash floods due to the soil being so dry and not able to absorb the water. Another issue that deforestation leads to is extinction of animals. There have been many plants and animals that have gone extinct due to deforestation, one group being many types of rain forest birds.
